Our purposes of collecting your persondal data:
The purpose of us collecting different types of personal data (which will be detailed in the next part) is two-fold:
- First and foremost, it is for the processing and fulfillment of our service: we need to exchange personally identifiable information within our own internal team, and also share such data with third-party suppliers who are directly and strictly connected to the chain of fulfilling orders and providing the desirable service for our end customers.
- Secondly, it is for our continuous improvement of our own service and products: such personal data collected will help us analyze, optimize, and fine-tune our own products and ways of delivering service to end users. This is ultimately for us to continue raise the bar for our customer experience of our own products and service.
The types of personal data we may collect and store:
- We may collect personally indentifiable information of our customers based on the information that they fill in their orders, such as: names, email-addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, and/or any personalized information provided.
- We may also collect user-generated content that customers share with us (like customer’s reviews and exchanges with our customer service staff) and other data regarding customer’s behaviorial information
As stated above, such information is required for processing and fulfilling orders, as well as continuously improving our products and service.
Will we share any of the personal information we receive?
Due to the nature of our business, we need to connect with third-party suppliers, who are required to process several steps within the order fulfillment process on our behalf. Because of this, we only share personally identifiable information to aforementioned third-party suppliers, as such data are required for order fulfillment and shipment. However, we restrict access to such data only to our own internal staff and agents within our third-party suppliers who need that information in order to process and fulfill orders. Anyone with this access is subject to strict confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.
As a business, we take the security and handling of our customers’ personal information very seriously. And hence, we shortlist and handpick our third-party suppliers very carefully. Although we cannot directly manage our suppliers’ internal process, we make sure they are organizations with high-ethics who take the privacy and security of our customer’s personal data seriously and also practice their own privacy policy to protect such data.
Are customers’ personal data safe and secure with us?
We take the security of customers’ personal data very seriously, and we work hard to protect such data. We provide reasonable physical, technical, and adminstrative security controls (including encryption) to protect our customers’ personal data. However, despite our best efforts to minimize security risks, no security controls are 100% effective, and we may not be able to ensure and warrant the security of such data. At any time, it is possible that a security breach or unauthorized access, hardware or software failures, or any other factors can affect the security of customers’ personal data.
